  • Local news station recognizes Aktion Club advisor

Congratulations to one of Aktion Club’s biggest boosters! Holly Forville has been recognized as a Community Hero by WXIN-Fox59 News in Indianapolis. (See the station’s report here.)

A Kiwanis advisor to the Aktion Club of Shelbyville, Indiana, Holly was recognized for her work at SENSES Gym, which she founded earlier this year to help children with autism. Holly was inspired to create the “sensory room” when her own grandson was diagnosed with autism. Now SENSES helps 150 families from Indiana—and even beyond.

If you want to see more about Holly’s work with Aktion Club, check out a video that we produced earlier this year. You’ll see Holly at SENSES, talking about the difference the program has made in club members’ lives—and in her own.
Thanks to the Community Hero Award, the rest of central Indiana also knows about Holly’s service to people with disabilities. Thanks again, Holly…and congrats!
