There's a new Kiwanis family that doesn't look like it used to look. It's a family with hundreds of thousands of members of all ages. It's a family that touches the lived of more than 1 million children every year. You are an essential piece of this family. Kiwanis International invites you to continue connecting to serve by participating in the second Service Leadership Programs Conference.

Invited participants:

  • 2006-07 Aktion Club district administrators*
  • 2006-07 Builders Club district administrators*
  • 2007-08 Circle K district administrators*
  • 2007-08 Key Club district administrators*
  • 2006-07 Kiwanis Kids district administrators/youth services chairpersons*
  • 2007 Key Leader district chairpersons and site coordinators*
  • North American Kiwanis district governors-elect*

* One per North American district Service Leadership Programs; program package is paid by Kiwanis International

Others Eligible to Attend:

  • North American Kiwanis district secretaries **

** US$500 per person registration fee provides entire program package; space is limited.

Program

The program package includes all meals, lodging, meetings and sessions, program materials, souvenirs, airport transfers, and gratuities. Airfare is not included in the program package. The following tentative schedule is planned:

Thursday, January 25

7:00 p.m. Dinner

Friday, January 26

7:30 p.m. Breakfast
9:00 a.m. Opening orientation session
10:45 a.m.

Program orientation

Noon Lunch
1:00 p.m. Program orientation
4:00 p.m. Adjournment

There is no additional cost to those participants. Invitations for this aspect of the programs will be issued to those who qualify.

Committee Meetings

Meetings for the 2006-07 Kiwanis International Committees on Aktion Club, Builders Club District Administrators, Circle K District Administrators, Key Club District Administrators, and K-Kids District Administrators will be held on Friday, January 26 from 4 to 6 p.m. Members of these committees are encouraged to make travel arrangements in time to arrive for these meetings.

Key Leader District Chairpersons and Site Coordinators

Key Leader district chairpersons and site coordinators need to arrive by 12 p.m. on Friday, January 26.  Training for Key Leader will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday.  Key Leader district chairpersons and site coordinators will share a sleeping room with one other person. Upgrades to a single room for the weekend are available for $110.

Other information

  • The attire for the entire weekend is “Kiwanis casual.” Attendees are invited to wear Kiwanis-family apparel. The Kiwanis Family Store alsowill be set up at the event to allow attendees to see and purchase the very latest in Kiwanis-family fashion wear.
  • American Airlines Training and Conference Center is a nonsmoking facility.

  • Attendees are asked to schedule departure flights on Sunday, January 28 after 12:00 noon.

Registration information

If you are one of the “invited participants,” simply complete the electronic registration form that will be sent to you. If you don’t receive an e-mail or lose it, request another from Lori Martin. Space is limited, and no provisions are being made for spouses or a second individual from each district program category. Registrations received after November 15, 2006, cannot be guaranteed.

Travel Information

American Airlines Logo American Airlines is offering a 9 percent discount off most nonrefundable fares for attendees of this conference. Reservations for this discount should be made by December 1, 2006. Reservations may be made one of two ways:

Litwack Travel logo Call Litwack Travel Service, the Official Kiwanis Family Travel Provider, at 877- LITWACK (548-9225), Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (EST). A service fee will be charged, depending upon the price of the ticket.

Book directly with American Airlines by calling 800-433-1790 (refer to authorization number or discount code A4416AA). American Airlines charges a US$8 service fee for tickets purchased via phone.

Transfer to and from DFW Airport to the American Airlines Training and Conference Center is included as part of the program package.
